Mindshop’s Guided Business Advsory Fundamentals Program

Introduction

Mindshop’s Guided Business Advisory Fundamentals Program is a complimentary online course and guided webinar series run by Mindshop Experts to accelerate the development of Mindshop member firms’ teams, with the objective of improving business advisory skills and creating an advisory mindset. This program is exclusively for Mindshop member firms’ partners, managers and team members.

Who should participate?

1. Managers and partners wishing to get a grounding in business advisory fundamentals.
2. Any team member who wants to improve their communication, listening and problem solving skills.

Program details

1. Running over three months, the initial program commences Monday March 27 and concludes Friday June 30, 2023.
2. Two 60 and one 90-minute webinars will be run by Mindshop Experts, Dr Chris Mason, Michael Burke and James Mason with sessions to cater for Asia Pacific, North American or Europe / United Kingdom time zones. See below for details. Sessions will be recorded for those who miss them.
3. Access will be provided to the Mindshop Business Advisory Fundamentals online course by your Mindshop Advisor, please contact them if you do not receive a welcome email by March 27, 2023. 
4. An online certificate will be sent to those who successfully complete the course before June 30, 2023.
5. Program completion should involve the investment of no more than 10 hours over three months.
6. There is no cost to attend for an unlimited number of team members (note: participation is restricted to team members of Mindshop member firms).

Webinar dates

Access to the Mindshop Business Advisory Fundamentals online course will be provided by your Mindshop Advisor, prior to program commencement on March 27th. Please contact the Mindshop advisor in your firm if you have not received a welcome email (you may wish to check your junk mail first).

The three webinars will run as follows:

Webinar 1: Monday March 27, 2023 – Dr Chris Mason and James Mason
Webinar 2: Wednesday April 19, 2023 – James Mason
Webinar 3: Wednesday May 24, 2023 – Michael Burke and James Mason

Detailed agendas and times for each time zone can be found below. IMPORTANT: Pick one time slot per webinar (depending on your timezone) and diarise a day / time for each of the three webinars.

How to participate & what to expect

  • Inform your Mindshop Advisor you want to participate prior to March 26, 2023.
  • Your Mindshop Advisor will register you for the program prior to commencement on March 27, 2023.
  • Once your Mindshop advisor has registered you for the program and onto Mindshop Online you will receive a welcome email to the program and access to Mindshop Online’s Business Advisory Fundamentals Course. The program welcome email will include links to the Business Advisory Diagnostic and Advisory 101 Paper for you to read and completed prior to the first webinar on March 27, 2023.
  • Reminders to each of the webinars will be sent one week, and another one day before.
  • Commence the Mindshop Business Advsory Fundamentals online course after the first webinar on March 27, 2023.
  • Recordings, PDFs of the presentations and any CPE surveys (North America only) will be sent post webinars.
  • You will receive a certificate of completion if you finish the course before 30 June 2023.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Will I get a calendar file to add to my diary for the webinars?
No, the there is a single link for all three webinar sessions, participants simply need to login using this link based on the regional times provide below. We highly recommend participants diarise one session time / date for each webinar based on their timezone.

2. What is the link to attend the webinars?
A link to the webinars will be sent in the welcome email and reminder emails.

3. Are CPE credits available?
Yes, for North American participants only. CPE credits are only earned when attending the live sessions, not the recordings or course completion. See below for details.

4. What happens if I want to register after the start of the program?
You can register after the start of the program, ask your Mindshop Advisor to do so on your behalf. You will be sent a recording of any webinars missed.

5. Will you run another program?
Depending on demand another program will be run in the second half of 2023, Mindshop will advisors will be notified by email should this go ahead.

6. What is the time commitment for participants?
Approximately 10 hours over the three month period.

Nb. CPE credits are only earned when attending the live sessions, not the recordings or course completion. To gain the full 3.0 CPE credits you will need to attend the live webinars and complete a survey that will be sent out at the completion of the final webinar on May 24th 2023.
